Our Story

Pontoon Wholesalers began as a concept company to market a complete 3rd Tube Kit solution through dealers and retail direct, to solve what we call "Buoyancy Deficient" and "Weight Distribution Issues" of two tube pontoons. There is a huge population of current Pontoons that more than meet the owner's needs, except for these two common issues. Knowing the industry and how the manufacturers' business models are designed, the only option available to a Pontooner is to find a "used Pontoon" and try to make it work. This option can be costly due to remanufacturing of the used tube to fit, freight, and installation issues. It's It or miss at best. Our Poly3rdTube™ kit addresses all these problems and adds even more benefits for the customer. Our kit creates a new level for their current pontoon and is often a DIY project for the consumer. For all the benefits the 3rdTube creates, it's easily the single best investment the pontoon owner can make in their pontoon that they enjoy and recoup when resale. Having sold hundreds of kits since 2015, we have made many pontoon families true believers in our product.

Mike Miller was hired out of The Ohio State University in 1980 by Mr. Maurice Schell. Mr. Schell started production in 1957 for the first-ever pontoon boat; the Company named Maurell Products, a Brand name Crest Pontoons. He aimed to build cost-effective, Super High-Quality boats to purchase, own, and be super safe for Family Boating. Maurice became a mentor to Mike. Mike retired from Crest in late 2007 after nearly three decades in the Pontoon marketplace, working alongside Maurice. Mike knew he wanted to provide more value and to continue his mentors’ vision and legacy. He then went on to design the next generation of Pontoon Tubes.

Our Mission

Mike’s Mission was to build and share high-performing, indestructible, CUSTOM Pontoon Tubes that were cost-effective to purchase and easy to ship and install worldwide. Mike knew this would correct the significant design flaws with all 2 tube Pontoons being “Buoyancy Deficient.” The result is improved Ride, Handling, Performance, and, most importantly, the Safety of a Pontoon.
